Das Mega-Event zur Bayerischen Meisterschaft: Die Freestyle Reining

BM1 4192

(english below)

Spot an!

The Mega Event for the Bavarian Championship: Freestyle Reining

After a break of three years the Freestyle Reining finally returns to the Ostbayernhalle and offers 5000 Euro in prize money. So nobody should miss the date during the Bavarian Championships (1-7.6.).

The fascination of reining and a choreography accompanied by music is combined in the Freestyle Reining. It is the great art of perfectly coordinating maneuvers and music to rock the arena! Who doesn't remember the electrifying fire show of Patricia Mayr and her group, which rocked the Ostbayernhalle with "Werner - Beinhart"!

In the meantime, Freestyle Reining has a long tradition at the Bavarian Championships. In the last years, thanks to the great support of Nici Gomeier from Gomeier's World Of Saddles, the class has grown from a special class to a mega event. It's no longer enough to spontaneously put on your costume from the last carnival and ride around the arena to some groovy music and perform the required maneuvers. Everything has to fit together. From the riding to the costume to the music.

No matter if you compete with a big group or alone, a Freestyle Reining always means a lot of preparation. From the idea to the finished show act can take several weeks.

How is the class judged and what is allowed?
In this class almost everything is allowed. Only the elements prescribed in the rule book (spin, stop, lead change) must be shown in the choreography. The rider can add or modify other maneuvers as desired. Also, there is no rule about the equipment. Thus one may present his horse also completely without saddle and bridle. The score for the ride is made up of the judge's score and the score of a jury. While the judge evaluates the ride according to the criteria of the rule book, the idea and the realization of the performance flow into the evaluation of the jury.

For organizational reasons, the number of participants is limited to 8-10. Therefore the show management asks for a written application until the beginning of May. Please also briefly tell us your theme here.

The organizers are already looking forward to many participants and spectators when it's time for "Lights off! Spot on!"
